Laboratory Instructor/Monitor in Big Rapids, MI 49307
Classroom and small group instruction for proper laboratory procedures with the Institute for Construction Education and Training (ICET). Monitor written and practical certification examinations. These positions are limited to no more 28 hours per week. This is a pooled position and our anticipated start date is Fall 2024 (preferably August) and/or Spring (preferably January) 2025. One or more applicants may be hired as needed on a semester-by-semester basis. Required: High school diploma or equivalent. Current certifications as appropriate to program assignment such as Michigan Certified Aggregate Technician, Michigan Certified Bituminous Laboratory Technician, Level 1 and/or Michigan Certified Density Technician. Two years experience working in the road construction industry related to quality control of highway construction materials.

Adjunct Instructor 1 - HVACR in Multiple Locations
Adjunct faculty may teach a variety of courses. Assignments may be lectures or labs; face-to-face, blended or online in Big Rapids. A focus on student success, office hours and use of current technology are expected. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. This posting is being used for face to face and/or online instruction. The candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. Required: Faculty Qualification by Credential: The standard to teach college credit courses at the associate degree level (1xx-2xx) is a bachelor's degree (or higher) in field or closely related field. The standard to teach college credit courses at the baccalaureate level (3xx-4xx) is a master's degree (or higher) in field or closely related area or a master's degree and 18 graduate hours in field. Faculty Qualification by Tested Experience: The following combination of education and experience shall be considered to teach at the associate's level (1xx-2xx): 1. a bachelor's degree or higher out of field and an associate's degree in field and 5 years of relevant industry experience. 2. a bachelor's degree out of field and 7 years of relevant industry experience. 3. an associate's degree in field and 7 years of relevant industry experience. The following combinations of education and experience shall be considered to teach at the baccalaureate level (3xx-4xx): 1. a master's degree or higher-level degree out of field with at least one bachelor's or associate's degree in field and 5 years of relevant industry experience directly related to the course taught. 2. a bachelor's degree in field and 7 years of relevant industry experience directly related to course taught; or, an associate's degree in field and any baccalaureate degree and 7 years of relevant industry experience. Adjunct Instructor 1 - Developmental Curriculum in Multiple Locations
All potential dual or concurrent enrollment instructors must complete the Ferris application process to be considered to teach a Ferris course. The Developmental Curriculum department approves the credentials of dual and concurrent enrollment instructors teaching courses in their curriculum area. Selected instructors must meet the academic department’s requirements for teaching courses in their curriculum areas. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. This posting is being used for face-to-face and/or online instruction. However, the candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position varies by semester but generally would fall around May 14, 2024, August 26, 2024, or January 13, 2025. Required: An instructor teaching developmental curriculum college courses must have a master’s degree. Two years of full-time experience working in a high school, career and technical education center, or college/university combined with expertise in career advising, coaching, or guidance. Two years part-time is equivalent to one year full-time.

Teach BS degree level coursework in the College of Engineering Technology. Depending on qualifications, subjects taught could include: Automotive Foundations, Automotive Marketing and Distribution, Automotive Accounting, Automotive Culture, Management of Fixed or Variable Operations, Warranty and Customer Relations, or Internet and Social Media Marketing. A focus on student success is expected. Office hours are required with at least one hour for each class taught. Use of current technology is expected. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. This posting is being used for face to face and/or online instruction. However, the candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2024 at the earliest and January 2025 at the latest. Required: Master's degree in field or closely related area or a master's degree out of field and 18 graduate hours in field. Faculty Qualification by Tested Experience: The following combinations of education and experience shall be considered qualifying tested experience to teach at the baccalaureate level (3XX, 4XX): - A master's, or higher-level degree out of field with at least one bachelor's degree in field and five years of relevant industry experience directly related to course taught.- A bachelor's degree in field and seven years of relevant industry experience directly related to course taught.- An associate's degree in field and any baccalaureate degree and 7 years of relevant industry experience directly related to course taught. Adjunct Instructor 1 - Management in Big Rapids, MI 49307
Teach undergraduate management courses in multiple delivery methods that may include face-to-face, on-line, and a hybrid/mixed delivery format. Candidates must be able to demonstrate teaching excellence. The College of Business is dedicated to providing a learning experience for its students that instills knowledge, competencies, and skills for entry level positions and job advancement in their chosen careers. To facilitate this, faculty are expected to be student oriented and able to integrate current technology into the learning environment. Office hours are required, one office hour per week for each course taught. Candidates should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Previous experience teaching or coaching in the management industry is preferred. To enhance the relevance and currency of the instruction, current management practitioners are preferred.
