Adjunct Instructor 1 – Finance - Prison Education Program (PEP) at Thumb Correctional Facility (Lapeer, MI) in Lapeer, MI 48446
An adjunct instructor is needed to teach an undergraduate Finance course as part of Ferris State University's Prison Education Program at Thumb Correctional Facility in Lapeer, Michigan. This position requires face-to-face instruction at the facility. The course to be taught is FINC 322 Financial Management 1 - The environment, goals, and techniques of financial management; emphasizes both investment and financing decisions; incorporates control techniques including ratio analysis, budgeting, and forecasting; includes time value of money, bond and stock values, the use of operating and financial leverage, capital budgeting techniques, cost of capital, and basic information concerning international financial management. This posting is being used for face-to-face instruction, and the candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The start date of this position is August 2025. Required: Master’s degree in Business or related field from an accredited college or university, OR Master's degree in Finance or Accounting. Certification in Finance or Accounting (e.g. CPA, CMA, CFA, etc.). Successful candidates will need to complete a background check through LEIN, the Michigan Department of Corrections/MDOC Contractors training through Mi-TRAIN, and an on-site orientation. Three years of teaching experience in Finance or related field, or three years of business experience in Finance or related field.

Reporting to the Manager of Stewardship and Donor Relations, the Donor Events Specialist/Stewardship Coordinator at Ferris State University is responsible for donor stewardship and implementation of the organization's events and special meetings, including; fundraising events, donor relations events, dinner parties, and President’s Box for football and hockey, etc. The Donor Events Specialist/Stewardship Coordinator will work closely with internal events constituents, including the Vice President for University Advancement and Marketing, Associate Vice Presidents, Major Gifts and Alumni, and Annual Giving teams. This Donor Events Specialist/Stewardship Coordinator is responsible for maintaining communication and tactical relationships among events stakeholders including other university departments, corporate and community partners, and event entities. In this role, the Donor Events Specialist/Stewardship Coordinator will interact with a variety of audiences including; donors, University leadership, Foundation, Alumni, advisory board members, and event sponsors. Facilitates completion of all proper paperwork (e.g., event checklists, expense tracking, etc.) according to business standards. This position will require working occasional nights and weekends. Required: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in donor relations and event management, or a combination of education and experience.

Adjunct Faculty - Art History in Grand Rapids, MI 49503
The Art History program at Ferris State University’s Kendall College of Art and Design (KCAD) in Grand Rapids, MI seeks qualified candidates to teach Art History courses. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. Courses are to be taught in person at KCAD in Grand Rapids. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The Art History Program serves students in all the art and design programs as well as Art History majors. We seek an outstanding educator who is an engaging speaker and can motivate and inspire students. Teaching assignments within the BA program will include the first-year Art History survey (Global Art I and II), with the possibility of other classes offered in the Art History program. Required: Master’s degree in Art History. Experience teaching a fully global Art History survey (covering multiple geographical regions beyond the west) in face-to-face classes as the instructor of record.

The Assistant Cheer and Stunt Coach will support the head coach in developing the foundation for the NCAA Division II Stunt program and building a program respected for its commitment to the mission and core values of Ferris State University which will begin competition in the 2025-26 academic year. The assistant coach will support all aspects of the Cheer & Stunt program. The assistant coach supports the head coach in all aspects of the program including creating and communicating the vision of a program seeking to reach unprecedented levels of success. Successfully organizing and implementing a comprehensive recruiting and retention plan, supporting student-athlete success in all areas of the student experience, and integrating the program into the campus community. Supervising practice and managing competitions, management of resources provided by the University which supports the essential components of the program and is actively involved in any additional fundraising to enhance resources for the program. Required: Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management, Physical Education, Fitness or related program. One year of stunt, cheer, or gymnastics coaching experience at the professional, college or high school level; or three years of participation at professional or college level.
