The Early Learning Center is seeking Assistant Teachers to join our NAEYC accredited team. This full-time position is an academic year position (August-May) and includes a comprehensive benefit package including sick, vacation, and holiday pay as well as medical insurance and retirement opportunities. The responsibilities of this position include supporting teaching staff in supervision of children. Manage classroom supervision in absence of teaching staff. Develop end-of-day and Friday learning experiences for children in assigned classroom. Ensure sanitation requirements are completed at the conclusion of each day. Handle end-of-day communication with parents for children enrolled in wrap-around childcare. This is a 10 month position. Required: A minimum of 12 credit hours from an accredited college/university in early childhood education, or closely related field as defined in the State of Michigan Licensing Regulations for Child Care Centers R. 400.8122. or the equivalency as detailed in the State of Michigan Licensing Regulations for Child Care Centers R. 400.8122 (6).
