The Architecture and Facility Management Department seeks applications for a part-time, temporary faculty position. Responsibilities involve teaching one or more courses in the following degree programs: AAS in Architectural Technology or BS in Architecture and Sustainability. In addition to the more common topics associated with the degree programs, experience in architectural design, construction detailing and documents utilizing AutoCAD and Revit, digital architectural presentation utilizing software such as Revit, Formit, Autodesk 3DS Max, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop or Illustrator, will be considered. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position is January 2025 at the earliest and August 2025 at the latest. Required: For 100 and 200 level courses: A Bachelor of Science in Architecture. For 300 and 400 level courses: A Bachelor or Master of Architecture, or a Bachelor of Science in Architecture plus a master’s degree in a related field such as building science, design studies, landscape architecture, commensurate with the topic being taught. The College of Arts, Sciences and Education (CASE) seeks applications for an Accreditation Specialist who will coordinate all aspects of national accreditation, including unit accreditation review, state and national pre-visits and visits, and manage the analysis and reporting of data. This position will work collaboratively with faculty, staff, administration, and students in the college to develop, implement, and monitor a system of assessment and continuous improvement to ensure programs are meeting learning outcomes and standards appropriate for accreditation and other reporting requirements. CASE currently has two accredited programs, the School of Education and the Social Work program. This position may also assist to improve our readiness for large Federal grants (FIPSE, HRSA, etc.) that require extensive data not typically collected or readily available at Ferris. The Budget Analyst assists in the preparation of the annual university general fund and non-general fund budgets; processes the detailed annual budget allocations to organizational units; monitors and forecasts student enrollment; maintains Institutional and State data reporting (HEIDI, MASU, etc); utilizes in-depth knowledge of budgeting and variance analysis to compile various analyses and reports; and performs other duties as required.
