Summary of Position: The Executive Director is responsible for providing vision, leadership and advocacy to foster global perspective throughout the University and coordinate comprehensive University-wide internationalization efforts, with the goal of preparing students and community for the global economy and society. The Executive Director works closely with the Provost as well as Deans of the Colleges to ensure alignment between college activities and University internationalization goals. The Executive Director will also be responsible for providing administrative oversight and guidance for the following areas: International Recruitment & Admissions, International Student Services, Education Abroad, International Development and the Intensive English Program (IEP).

The anticipated start date for this position is March of 2023. However, this is an estimated date and can be revised if needed.

Required Work Experience: Two years administrative and direct experience working with international students; managing complex budgets, proficiency in MS Office, specifically Excel and Word; must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; and have experience working with diverse populations. Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Additional Education/Experiences to be Considered: Doctoral degree. Experience working with International Recruitment & Admissions, International Student Services, Education Abroad, International Development and an Intensive English Program; Experience working with social media.  
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: •Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and community members.
•Develop and manage International Student Recruitment and outreach strategies. Responsible for International admissions.
•Oversee functioning and growth of the Intensive English Program housed in the Office of International Education.
•Set direction and provide leadership for existing education abroad programs and new initiatives.
•Develop and coordinate articulation agreements with international colleges, universities and organizations.
•Facilitate and manage faculty exchanges and Study Abroad programs and facilitate and manage short-term programs.
•Provide continuous development of the International Program as it relates to changing student and client needs.
•Establish and support partnership development with International Universities and educational partners, businesses.
•Represent International Education within the University, in the community and overseas with professional organizations, and agencies; lead, work with, and serve on University committees.
•Develop and manage International budget and expenditures. Develop revenue projections, budget or expenditure forecasts.
•Responsible for entrepreneurial and innovative international program development that supports campus internationalization efforts, collaborating with colleges and international partners.
•Coordinate alumni relationship building efforts working with current students and alumni.
•In collaboration with the University’s Strategic Plan develop and manage International Education Strategic Plan.
•In collaboration with the Provost Office and the Diversity and Inclusion Office develop and manage International Education Diversity and Inclusion Plan.
•Ensure that university and academic policies and procedures are followed.
•Demonstrate leadership role in supporting and promoting faculty and staff professional development for full-time and part-time faculty in the areas of global engagement.
•Provide leadership for faculty and staff within International Education.
•Manage and supervise assigned staff.
•Responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of student information and ensuring compliance with University, state and federal policies and procedures. Provides supervision including recruitment, training, evaluating, scheduling, and discipline for program staff.
•Reports directly to the Associate Provost for Academic Operations.
•Any other duties assigned within the position classification area.
