Summary of Position: |
The Learning and Well-being Consultant is needed to support extant Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning (FCTL) programming such as the Faculty Transition Program and Junior Faculty Fellow Program, support the continued development of FCTL's Faculty-in-Residence, and develop programming for faculty that focuses on diversity, equity, and inclusion, as well as that which focuses on students' social and emotional learning, wellness, mental health, and success. |

At least 5 years of experience working in a higher education center for teaching or faculty development center; At least 1 year of experience supporting Faculty-in-Residence in a center for teaching or faculty development center; At least 5 years of experience developing or co-developing programming for early career faculty; At least 1 year of experience developing or co-developing programming for faculty that focuses on diversity, equity, and inclusion; and At least 1 year of experience developing or co-developing programming for faculty that focuses on student well-being and mental health. |

Essential Duties/Responsibilities: |
Assist with current Faculty Center for Teaching and Learning (FCTL) programming such as the Faculty Transition Program and Junior Faculty Fellow Program; Support the continued development of FCTL's Faculty-in-Residence; Develop or co-develop programming for faculty that focuses on diversity, equity, and inclusion; Develop or co-develop programming that focuses on students' social and emotional learning, wellness, mental health, and success; Maintain a collaborative relationship and open communication with the FCTL team and all members of the University and greater education communities. Demonstrates an understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion, especially in working relationships with students, faculty, staff and community members. Any other duties assigned within the position classification area. |

Skills and Abilities: |
Demonstrated ability to facilitate or co-facilitate faculty/educational development programs of different lengths and formats; Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles; Demonstrated ability to facilitate or co-facilitate faculty programming about diversity, equity, and inclusion; Demonstrated ability to facilitate or co-facilitate faculty programming about student development, wellness, and mental health; and Demonstrated ability to support Faculty-in-Residence in a center for teaching or faculty development center. Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds. |
