Director of Accessibility & Disability Services Big Rapids, MI 49307
Reporting to the Dean, the Director of Accessibility and Disability Services is responsible for supporting and coordinating tasks that pertain to students with identified disabilities and assisting those initiatives meant to advance accessibility at Ferris State University. A key responsibility is working directly with students who are seeking accommodations, undertaking initial student meetings, and serving as a case manager for those registered with the Disability and Accessibility Resource Center (DARC). The Director serves as the University ADA/504 coordinator and works collaboratively with Educational Counselors, General Counsel, other university partners and external service providers to manage DARC's support services, including testing accommodations, assistance technologies, educational programming, student and faculty/staff orientation, student and staff consultations, accommodation appeals and processes concerning student accommodations. The position requires working with students, faculty and staff, to ensure policies, procedures, processes, and guidelines are recommended, implemented and maintained. This is a 12-month, administrative position reporting to the Dean. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience and includes a competitive benefits package. The Assistant Manager assists the Manager with day-to-day operations of both campus stores (Big Rapids & Grand Rapids), including the administration of the textbook and course material ordering program offered in partnership with the contracted online textbook partner. Director of Grand Rapids Operations Grand Rapids, MI 49503
The Director of Grand Rapids Operations provides administrative leadership for the Extended and International Operations (EIO) activities in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and the surrounding area. Responsible for the region's undergraduate and graduate credit degree programming and building relationships with the region's community colleges, businesses, associations, and chamber groups. Work with academic colleges to support faculty recruitment and are responsible for selecting, training, supervising, and mentoring individuals reporting to the position to deliver quality programming and positive student learning experiences. Collaborate with academic and administrative units to achieve strategic planning goals and identify and implement new programs and delivery sites. Part-time doctoral-level teaching in the area of community college/higher education governance and policy at campus locations and online (hybrid delivery). In addition to teaching, part-time faculty are also responsible for typical course-related tasks (assessment, course development, and quarterly faculty meetings).
