Adjunct Instructor 1 – Statewide/Online Programs Multiple Locations
Adjunct instructors are needed to teach undergraduate courses as part of Ferris State University's Statewide (off-campus) and online programs. The locations include, but are not limited to, Grand Rapids, Traverse City, Lapeer, and online. The list of programs where instructors may be needed is at https://ferris.edu/everywhere. This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed to teach classes on a semester-by-semester basis. This posting is being used for face-to-face and/or online instruction. However, the candidate selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2024 at the earliest and January 2025 at the latest. These are estimated dates that may be revised as needed to match part-of-term assignments. Required: For all teaching assignments, a minimum of a bachelor's degree is required, typically in the discipline of instruction. In most cases, a master's degree with at least 18 graduate-level credits in the discipline is also required. The exact education needed will vary based on the course's defined qualifications. In general, three years of professional work experience and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Carpenter/Locksmith Big Rapids, MI 49307
Perform skilled trades work in locksmithing and carpentry on University owned buildings and furnishings. The normal working hours are typically 8:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday. However, may be required to work other times, including evenings and/or weekends including responding to emergency calls. If required by job duties, employee must be able to fulfill the University's requirements concerning issuance and use of University keys. Assistant or Associate Professor of Construction Technology & Management (9-Month, Tenure-Track) Multiple Locations
The Department of Construction Technology & Management invites applications for a 9-month, tenure-track faculty position at the Assistant or Associate Professor Level. Primary responsibilities include teaching and advising students in a four-year BS Construction Management program ACCE. Teaching assignments will be from a wide range of construction technology and construction management topics. Position may require teaching online or at off-campus location in Grand Rapids. The anticipated start date of this position is August 2024. Required 1. Master's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or appropriate related field AND five years full-time US construction experience (commercial or industrial). OR 2. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or appropriate related field AND an MBA plus five years full-time US construction experience (commercial or industrial) with increasing levels of responsibility. OR 3. Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Construction Technology, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering or appropriate related field and eight years full-time US construction experience (commercial or industrial) with increasing levels of responsibility. A Master's degree in field or an approved related field will be required prior to tenure. Required work experience is based on degree attained. If a candidate has a PhD in Construction Management, five years full-time US commercial or industrial construction experience is required. The Ferris Outfitters Manager ensures store operations support and facilitates the academic mission of the University. The manager is responsible for planning, organizing and directing daily store activities, supervising store staff, and interacting with key campus contacts for both Ferris Outfitters and the Wink ProShop. Student Brand Ambassadors (SBAs) for the Online Bookstore raise awareness about its benefits to students with the goal of increasing utilization. In addition, SBAs communicate with faculty and staff to support on-time course material adoptions. It’s important that students order their textbooks so they can be prepared for their courses and are set up to succeed every term. SBAs are the on-the-ground support to make sure that happens! This position is half customer service, and half marketing and communications Students will host scheduled help tables at the start of the term, based on their availability, and work on marketing and communication projects that can be done on their own time. Ferris State provides training and access to marketing materials. Student should be available to work three days a week, for 3-4 hours each day for Orientation. Prefer a student that is available during the summer and fall semester.

Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice Grand Rapids, MI 49503
Tenure-track 12-month position as an Assistant Professor of Pharmacy Practice at Ferris State University College of Pharmacy. Individuals with experience in adult inpatient clinical pharmacy practice settings along with commitment to the teacher/scholar model and service are encouraged to apply. Primary responsibilities consist of establishing and maintaining an adult inpatient medicine or medicine subspecialty clinical pharmacy practice at an affiliated health system in the greater Grand Rapids, MI area with experiential and didactic teaching as key responsibilities. The individual will also be expected to develop individual or collaborative research consistent with the mission and vision of the College. Additional responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, contributing to the Department, College, University and profession through participation on committees, continuing professional development, and mentoring students.
